Mrs. Green was a resident of a “Memory Care” facility. From the very beginning of her residency, the facility knew of her confusion, anxiety, and disorientation. It knew of her wandering behavior and the need to be monitored. The facility mismanaged her medications.
She was allowed to go for periods of up to seven days without a bowel movement. She had several falls and the facility promised to keep her within sight at all times.
Despite this knowledge and the facility’s promises, Mrs. Green was left unattended in her bathroom. She fell and sustained life-threatening injuries. She was transported via ambulance to the hospital; she was diagnosed with head and knee injuries. She died a few days later. Her family retained the Law Office of David M. Jamieson. Their case was resolved to her family’s satisfaction.
