*Assisted Living Embezzlement of Patient’s Money*

A man who was suffering from dementia was admitted to a local assisted-living facility. Shortly after he was admitted, the facility’s administrator obtained his bank account information and an ATM card and began stealing his money. Because of his dementia, he was unaware of this theft.

It continued until all of his money was gone. Shortly before his death, his daughters discovered the embezzlement and confronted the administrator. She first denied but eventually admitted her wrongdoing.

After their dad’s death, his daughters retained the Law Office of David M. Jamieson; all of the stolen money was recovered.
